Hi, I’m Lisa. I’m the author of The Audacity of Her: A Woman’s Guide to Unapologetic Living, a more polished, mainstream evolution of my original workbook Big Sis Energy, the raw and unfiltered blueprint that launched this whole body of work. My newest release, The Friendship Garden, is a sweet, empowering children’s book co-authored with Kim Hendren about growing kind friendships and gently weeding out the ones that aren’t. I’m also the author of Zuzu’s Girls, a love letter to friendship and Christmas magic in NYC, and I Love Myself the Way My Puppy Loves Me (Unconditionally), a heart-forward children’s book about embracing who you are, just like your dog already does.
I have learned that the most important relationship we have is the one with ourselves. Loving who we are, flaws and all, makes life richer. When we stop living for other people’s approval and start living for ourselves, life just… clicks. Things feel easier, lighter, and more satisfying: because fulfillment comes from honoring your own heart, not trying to fit into someone else’s idea of you. This is the advice I wish I could give my younger self, and it’s why I continue to passionately share this message with the world.
I live in Florida with my amazing husband, John, and three beloved dogs - which includes Zuzu, my floofball soulmate and basically my emotional support shadow. Also, it bears repeating: I’m obsessed with two things which make me incredibly happy… dogs and Christmas.
I’m super proud of all the work I get to do with fellow author, friend, and owner of The Boozy Bookworm, Kim Hendren. Huge thanks to her for having this adorable new logo made for us! I’m completely in love with it ...and so grateful for her, her friendship, and all the fun we have bringing our ideas to life together.

MyFirst Book Signing!
My first-ever book signing was a huge success, and I’m still soaking it in.
What meant the most was hearing from women I had never even met before, from all different backgrounds and life experiences, who told me they truly got the message of The Audacity of Her. They shared how it resonated with them around empowerment, boundaries, self esteem, and personal growth. That was the whole point.
Knowing the book is landing the way I hoped it would means everything to me!
